The 133rd Canton Fair, which resumed offline exhibitions, closed on May 5. A reporter from Nandu Bay Finance Agency learned from the Canton Fair that the on-site export turnover of this Canton Fair was 21.69 billion US dollars. From April 15 to May 4, the online export turnover reached US$3.42 billion. Next, the online platform of the Canton Fair will continue to operate normally. The total exhibition area of this year’s Canton Fair reached 1.5 million square meters, the number of offline exhibitors reached 35,000, and a total of more than 2.9 million person-times entered the exhibition hall, both hitting record highs.

According to the introduction of the Canton Fair, as of May 4 (the same below), a total of overseas buyers from 229 countries and regions participated online and offline, of which 129,006 overseas buyers participated offline, from 213 countries and regions , of which the number of buyers from countries along the “Belt and Road” accounted for about half.

A total of 55 industrial and commercial organizations participated in the conference, including the Malaysian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the French Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Mexican Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Technology. More than 100 leading multinational companies organized buyers to participate in the conference, including Wal-Mart in the United States, Auchan in France, and Metro in Germany. 390,574 overseas buyers participated online.

Exhibitors of this year’s Canton Fair have uploaded a total of 3.07 million exhibits, including more than 800,000 new products, about 130,000 smart products, about 500,000 green and low-carbon products, and more than 260,000 independent intellectual property products. About 300 first-show events for the first launch of new products were held.

In terms of the import exhibition, a total of 508 companies from 40 countries and regions participated in the import exhibition, focusing on displaying high-end smart, green and low-carbon products that meet the needs of the Chinese market.

A total of 141 functions were optimized on the online platform of the Canton Fair this year. The cumulative number of visits to the online platform was 30.61 million, and the number of visitors was 7.73 million, accounting for more than 80% from overseas. The cumulative number of visits to the stores of exhibitors exceeded 4.4 million.

The various indicators during the 133rd Canton Fair reflect that the Canton Fair, as a “barometer” and “weather vane” for foreign trade, reflects the resilience and vitality of China’s foreign trade, and shows that the global business community is optimistic about China’s economy and full of confidence in deepening economic and trade cooperation in the future .
